Liability Waiver

Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that surfing and water sports involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: drowning, collision with other surfers or objects, marine life encounters, changing ocean conditions, equipment failure, and serious injury or death.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the rental and use of surfing equipment from The Surf Society.

Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue The Surf Society, its owners, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained by me while using rented equipment.

Acknowledgment of Competence

I certify that I:

• Am physically fit and capable of participating in surfing activities
• Have sufficient swimming ability and ocean experience
• Will use the equipment safely and responsibly
• Will follow all safety guidelines and local regulations
• Will not use equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Equipment Responsibility

I agree to inspect all equipment before use and report any defects or damage immediately. I accept full responsibility for any damage to or loss of rented equipment while in my possession.

Medical Treatment Authorization

In case of emergency, I authorize The Surf Society to secure necessary medical treatment on my behalf. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical costs incurred.

Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Surf Society from any loss, liability, damage, or costs that may arise from my use of rented equipment or my participation in surfing activities.

Severability

If any provision of this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Acknowledgment

By renting equipment from The Surf Society, I acknowledge that I have read this waiver, understand its contents, and agree to be bound by its terms. I understand that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and The Surf Society.
