Rental Terms

1. Rental Agreement

By renting equipment from The Surf Society, you agree to these terms and conditions. All rentals are subject to availability and approval by The Surf Society staff.

2. Rental Period

Non-members may rent equipment for a maximum of 14 consecutive days. Members have unlimited rental duration based on their membership plan. All equipment must be returned by the agreed-upon time.

Late returns may incur additional fees at our standard daily rate.

3. Equipment Condition

You are responsible for inspecting the equipment before rental. Please report any existing damage to our staff. You agree to:

  • Use the equipment properly and safely
  • Return equipment in the same condition as received
  • Report any damage immediately
  • Not lend or sublet the equipment to others

4. Damage & Loss

You are responsible for any damage to or loss of rented equipment. Charges for damage or loss include:

  • Minor damage: Repair costs
  • Major damage: Replacement value
  • Lost equipment: Full replacement value
  • Lost accessories: Replacement cost per item

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the rental start time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. No-shows forfeit the entire rental fee.

6. Age Requirements

Renters must be 18 years or older. Minors may rent equipment with a parent or legal guardian present who assumes full responsibility.

7. Payment

Payment is required at the time of rental. We accept major credit cards and debit cards. A valid ID is required for all rentals.
